Dr. Jean Mateo

Dr. Jean Mateo MD, CCFP, DTMH, CTH is a Family Physician and Director of the Calgary Refugee Health Society. He earned his medical degree in Havana, Cuba in 2000 and completed his family medicine training at the University of Calgary.

He also holds diplomas in Tropical Medicine and Travel Medicine, obtained in 2011 and 2016, respectively.

Dedicated to supporting newcomers to Calgary, he fulfills this commitment through his role with the Calgary Refugee Health Program while also practicing as a family physician in the city.
